Fair Funding for TRU Campaign
On the heels of our successful postcard signing campus on campus and in the community that culminated in meetings with our local MLAs in Kamloops and Williams Lake, The TRUFA Communications Committee is now unveiling the second phase of our Fair Funding for TRU campaign. The focus of this new phase of the campaign is on communicating directly with the office of the Minister of Advanced Education, Training and Skills, Melanie Mark. To accomplish this, TRUFA has initiated an online petition to allow TRU faculty, staff, administrators and community members to contact the Minister of Advanced Education directly and express support for a revision of the funding formula. This is the logical next step in our campaign to correct the chronic underfunding of TRU that has made it more difficult for the University to meet its legislated mandate under the TRU Act.
The online petition can be found here:

The provincial government will be issuing their 2018-2019 fiscal budget on February 20th. The more people send petitions to the Minister, copied to our local MLAs, the better chance we might have for a commitment to revise the funding formula. Please sign and share with your networks!
