"TRU administration's focus on playing the numbers game is yet one more example of avoiding the problem instead of showing leadership. For context, 40% of eligible faculty at UBC voted 62% non confidence in their Board of Governors. The UBC BoG and administrators immediately acknowledged the seriousness of the vote and engaged directly with the Faculty Association to address the concerns. Even in their failure, the UBC leadership have demonstrated an appropriate university response to a governance crisis. Whereas the initial response from TRU has been denial and avoidance." — Tom Friedman
